| About me | We are a 40-something married couple who love travel and adventure and our goal is to live and work on or near an island. We are both hard-working, honest people. My husband just lost his job to to "corporate layoffs" as are 12 million other Americans at the moment. We are now in a position in our life to make some changes and begin a new phase. Our children are college-age, we both do not want to stay in our hometown any longer, and are seeking a "new way of life". Money is important to us, but happiness is more important and we both feel strongly that people should not waste a single day because there is no promise of another. We are ready to "make the move" and end the rut. We are both skilled in hospitality. I have been in customer service via the travel industry, waitressing, owning a business, etc. Vernon has owned a chain of gas station/convenient marts, and grew up with his parents owning a hotel and restaurant. He is a highly skilled deal-maker, manager, entrepeneur, PR/Marketing, and business operation man. He is very likeable and easy-going. We are both driven when given a task for success in any business or position. |
