| About me | GERMAN LUCARELLI Executive Chef Each one of us has been influence by one person in our whole life, for German it was his grandmother Maria Elena. Born in Argentina on March 1972, German’s journey in the culinary industry began at a very young age at his grandmother’s kitchen. He initially resisted the culinary industry by pursuing Industrial Design & Social Communication at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Eventually he finally accepted his passion in the art of cooking. He started as a utility person to better understand the culinary world in all its areas. And was mentored by Chef Carlos Altberto “Gato” Dumas, a world-renowned Argentinian born chef. During his apprenticeship German has perfected his craft in countries such as Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, France, Great Britain, Lebanon, United States and Spain wherein he has worked under Chef Martin Berasategui a 3 star Michelin Chef. Upon his travels German was given the opportunity to study Bice’s philosophy and influences with the world-renowned Chef Giacomo Gallina , he started in 1996 at Bice Paris and London. He was able to open Bice Buenos Aires. Currently he was given the best opportunity, to be Executive Chef at Bice New York, where his talent has gained him attention and respect. German’s love of cooking translates and reflects in the variety of dishes he prepares each and everyday. |
